On November 19th, Mayor Bass announced the launch of the CareerConnect program, an initiative to support formerly unhoused Angelenos with digital tools to bolster their employment and professional aspirations.
“At the end of the day, it is our goal to get people off the streets, but it's our goal for them to never return to the streets," Mayor Bass stated. "Taking that step towards self-sufficiency begins with being connected with a job.”
The Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles (HACLA) Digital Ambassadors will utilize CareerConnect to complement the Job Connectors Program at various interim housing locations. This collaboration will help Inside Safe participants gain the digital literacy needed to put towards enhancing their workforce readiness to thrive in the job market.
EWDD is thrilled to partner with the Mayor's Office to assist with this ongoing effort.
