The Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) serves as a framework for local and regional economic development, focusing on setting goals and addressing barriers. It is a collaborative effort involving stakeholders from various sectors to assess current conditions and establish a clear implementation plan over a five-year period.
This Request for Proposals (RFP) is seeking qualified and experienced consultant(s) to update the following economic development planning tools that promote economic prosperity and resiliency in the City:
- Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy as required by the US Department of Commerce Economic Development Administration
- Jobs and Business Advancement in Los Angeles Action Plan, a local set of short- and long-term strategies to promote job creation
The City's Jobs Plan outlines strategies to support businesses and create jobs to drive economic growth. Given the significant impact of both COVID-19 and the recent wildfires on the local economy, updating both the CEDS and Jobs Plan simultaneously will help the City assess the effects of these disasters and develop comprehensive strategies for long-term recovery.
This RFP was released on Monday, February 10, and is available for review and download on the
LA Regional Alliance Marketplace for Procurement (RAMP). Registration is required. All Technical assistance answers will be made available on RAMP.
