The City of Los Angeles Economic and Workforce Development Department (EWDD) is seeking development proposals from experienced development teams with respect to the development of the Marlton Square Opportunity Site, an approximately 5-acre site located in South Los Angeles. The City envisions Marlton Square as a vibrant development center that will meet citywide economic needs, create meaningful well-paying jobs for surrounding residents with a range of educational backgrounds, and contribute to the overall advancement of South Los Angeles.
The site is one block away from the Crenshaw light rail currently under construction, which will connect the Crenshaw neighborhood to both the Expo Line and LAX and will include an underground stop at the new Baldwin Hills Crenshaw Plaza. This is a prime location that provides connectivity to transit, educational and employment opportunities, and key locations in Los Angeles including the airport, downtown, and the coast.
EWDD is seeking a Proposer that has the experience and capacity to acquire by lease or purchase in order to develop the Site in a manner that will promote local job creation, create economic opportunities for members of the surrounding community, and contribute to the growth and vitality of the Crenshaw Corridor and South Los Angeles.

Technical assistance is open through January 7, 2022. All technical assistance questions must be submitted by e-mail only. The Proposer’s question must identify the RFP page number and the section of the subject matter for which the Proposer is seeking clarification.
