Elise Swanson
President and CEO, San Pedro Chamber of Commerce

Elise is the President and Chief Executive Officer of the San Pedro Chamber of Commerce. She represents more than 400 member businesses and organizations. Under her leadership, the Chamber has developed a robust legislative advocacy program to support small businesses, and she helped to guide the creation of the San Pedro 2020 plan designed to formulate strategies and facilitate public-private partnerships to leverage growth in the harbor area of Los Angeles.

Working with the Port of Los Angeles and Discover LA, Swanson has instituted a tourism training program to meet the needs of the nearly 2 million visitors each year to the LA waterfront. She is currently a City of Los Angeles Small Business Commissioner, Chair of the South Bay Association of Chambers of Commerce, and Co-Chair of the Biz-Fed Small Business, Labor & Employment Committee.

LA County Supervisor Janice Hahn appointed Swanson to serve on the Los Angeles County Resiliency Task Force. In addition, she served on Councilman Joe Buscaino's San Pedro Task Force on Homelessness. In 2020, Swanson was named the State of CA 70th Assembly District Woman of the Year. Prior to joining the Chamber, Elise Swanson served as District Director for then Congresswoman Janice Hahn.
