The City of Los Angeles Workforce Development Board’s Local Plan outlines the vision of its workforce development system to prepare and place individuals into self-sufficient employment, focuses on career pathway employment opportunities, and emphasizes strategies for system collaboration.
The three pillars of the Local Plan align with the California State Plan’s three policy objectives: 1) fostering demand-driven skills attainment; 2) enabling upward mobility; and 3) aligning, coordinating, and integrating programs and services to economize limited resources. Opinions, experiences, and advice from our local communities are essential to achieve a successful Workforce Development System in the City of Los Angeles. The EWDD will be hosting public forums to solicit community input on potential modifications of the 2021-2024 Local Plan.
