On May 27th, Initiating Change in Our Neighborhoods Community Development Corporation (ICON CDC) celebrated the graduation of 53 entrepreneurs from the South Valley BusinessSource Center Entrepreneur Training Program (ETP). This event featured inspiring speeches from Councilwoman Imelda Padilla and EWDD’s Assistant Grants Administrator Rosa Penaloza, who highlighted the importance of supporting small businesses in building stronger communities.
The graduating class included participants from various industries such as technology, retail, and food services, with nearly 50% of the graduates being women and participants from diverse backgrounds. The graduates now have the tools to build sustainable businesses, with a focus on leadership, marketing, financial management, and business planning.
