A crowd of 100 people attended the grand opening of the North Valley BusinessSource Center on Friday, December 6, 2019. EWDD partner, Initiating Change in our Neighborhoods (ICON), recently took over the site and is now the provider for both the North Valley and South Valley BusinessSource Centers.

EWDD Assistant Chief Grants Administrator Jacqueline “Jackie” Rodriguez spoke at the event and thanked ICON staff for establishing the new site. She also implored local small business owners to avail themselves of the free business services available across the City’s nine BusinessSource Centers.

“To anybody who has a small business or a growing business, whether you have a thought and an idea, a desire to start a business to whether you actually have a small business that you want to grow or if you want to have a second location, the BusinessSource Centers are here to help,” Jackie said. “You have excellent staff at both of the Valley locations, so please take advantage of them.”

The grand opening also featured tables from several sponsors and local government representatives and officials, including the Mayor’s Office of Community Business and City Councilmember Monica Rodriguez.

EWDD’s BusinessSource and WorkSource Centers offer a variety of Business Services, including several Financial and Development Incentive Programs and a Small Business Loan Program. Learn how EWDD can help.
